Word Space: Literature Works’ talent development programme 2022
Literature Works’ announces Word Space an online talent development programme for writers.
If you’re based in South West England and you’re serious about your writing; if you’re ready for a year of mentoring, support and connection – then Word Space is the thing for you. It’s Literature Works new online annual talent development programme, running for twelve months from April 2022 – March 2023 and developing a group of up to 15 emerging writers from across the South West.
Word Space is for developing practitioners who are serious about their work and ready to take it to the next level. It will be open for submissions throughout December 2021 and January 2022, through an open call. The fee structure is significantly subsidised, with concessionary places and some additional bursary support available. If you are selected you will form the first ever cohort of Word Space.
Literature Works is pleased to be working on Word Space with five partners who share their focus on inclusive, diverse writer development opportunities, reaching out to underrepresented groups and to underserved, rural locations. They are: Dialect Writers in Gloucestershire, Little Toller Books, Out on the Page, Speaking Volumes and The Bookery in Crediton. The partnership will help to create a connected network of writer support and development for all applicants. Each partner also has a nominated place on the programme for one writer.
