Creative Dementia Arts Network (CDAN) is looking for an Arts Admin and Development Assistant

CDAN urgently needs an Arts Admin and Development assistant for 5 hours a week (over 14 weeks) from March – May 2022.

Creative Dementia Arts Network (CDAN) urgently needs an Arts Admin and Development assistant for 5 hours a week over 14 weeks for work on our website and projects starting in March 2022 and finishing in May 2022.

CDAN is a micro arts and dementia charity with a strong track record of managing, delivering and evaluating participatory arts with people living with dementia and educating, informing and supporting staff across arts, health and wellbeing and social care especially creative practitioners.

Our very busy Chief Executive wants to hear from well organised freelancers who can work with her to help finish and launch our new website, use social media to communicate with our network, provide admin support for the Save the Last Dance for Me intergenerational project, and Creative Connections activities book for people with dementia, and help develop FLOURISH, CDAN’s arts and dementia training course.


  • Very good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS WORD: Windows, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Confidence in using Mail Chimp and posting media alerts via Face Book and Twitter
  • Confidence in on line searching using www and on line databases


  • A working knowledge of Word Press and a design package such as Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience of working in a small arts charity involved in working with adults and/or older people including those living with dementia

The majority of your work will be online and you will need your own computer with a secure (private) connection. CDAN will supply a hard disk to back up work you do for us. You also need a smart phone. (Calls paid) A current basic DBS is required.

The 5 hours will be split between a few hours worked at the beginning and towards the end of the week starting early in March 2022. Some of this work needs to be done in working house whilst some can be done in the evenings and weekends. CDAN will pay £12 per hour invoiced 4 weekly and then for the final 2 weeks. If further funds are awarded to the charity, we may extend this freelancing opportunity.
