Artist Call Out for the new ACE commissioned showcase – Horizon
Horizon Artists Participation Deadline Extended until 18th May.
Horizon – Performance Created in England
The Horizon consortium are excited to announce the extension on artists’ proposals by one week. In their pilot year, they want to make sure that as many amazing England-based artists and companies as possible, from all backgrounds, have the opportunity to showcase their work at Horizon.
For 2021, the pilot will showcase a programme that connects performance works and new performance ideas with international partners during the last two weeks in August, connecting digitally to Edinburgh’s Festivals.
This call-out is an invitation to artists/companies working within live performance to submit proposals for two core strands of the Horizon 2021 programme:
- Presentation – performance work that is ready to tour internationally
- Residency – performance ideas that are in development
Your project could be classified as theatre, dance, performance, live art, circus, cabaret or ‘made for digital’. They are also interested in performance work that straddles and embraces a number of different artform approaches.
The showcase will include a diverse mix of artforms and types of project and contain both digital and in-person strands. They are looking to showcase artists who are ready to work internationally, with a practice that will connect to a range of presenters beyond the UK, and who meet the eligibility criteria outlined.
