The Sunflower Project

The Sunflower Project Cornwall, is looking for six community groups or organisations to get involved in 2022. Groups need an outdoor space and someone to lead the project!

The Sunflower Project Cornwall, founded by Naomi Hannam, will be running again in 2022. In 2021 over 10,000 seeds were planted across Cornwall with over 1000 individuals creatively engaged with the project. This year it is their ambition to plant 15,000 seeds. The Sunflower Project’s aim is to creatively support communities to grow, to build connections and creativity and to grow sunflowers as a symbol of unity, generosity and hope. In a world that feels so full of uncertainty, coming together to plant seeds of hope feels so important.

The Project is looking for six more community groups or organisations to get involved. Your group would need an outdoor space to grow in and someone to lead the project. If selected your group will receive beautiful community packs at the end of April which will contain seeds for a 2 x 2 metre bed of sunflowers, protective fleece, growing instructions, creative activity ideas, access to newsletters and ongoing support. The Project is asking for a contribution between £10 and £35 for the pack – you pay what your group can afford.
