The Performing Medicine Open Programme offers a wide range of workshops and courses that focusing on subjects ranging from managing stress and presentation skills to anatomical art, all led by expert artist practitioners working across movement, voice and sculpture.

Drawing on British Academy-funded research on the impact of PPE on communication within healthcare environments,  a short evening session covering simple and effective ways to cope with the challenges of communication while wearing PPE.

Communicating with a mask



Over three 2-hour modules, this course explores positive ways to revitalise life at work, build resilience and begin to create a more supportive working environment where your own self-care is prioritised. Drawing on our work with healthcare professionals and using the Circle of Care model, participants will explore a range of exercises to look after themselves and each other, including ways to cope well with the physical demands of their work, including relaxation techniques to help prepare for, respond to, and wind down from busy and stressful schedules.
