‘Mental Wealth Academy’ launches

The Good Mental Health Cooperative is piloting a new initiative to encourage people to ‘discover wellbeing and keep learning’ through free community based workshops and courses to aid inclusion, recovery and good mental health.

The Mental Wealth Academy supports people to access community based activities and workshops which help with inclusion, recovery and good mental health. The support is intended for people who have experienced serious life challenges, are socially isolated, anxious or lacking in confidence. This may include experience of mental ill-health, addictions, disability, bereavement, caring responsibilities for example.

The Good Mental Health Cooperative believe that connecting with others, and informal learning opportunities, are really important steps to good mental health, bringing a sense of inclusion and challenge, rather than feeling isolated and lacking in purpose.

This is an introductory programme, with funding provided by the Big Lottery for the free workshops and courses.

The Good Mental Health Cooperative is a Hampshire based social enterprise which aims to challenge stigma and exclusion, and make the best possible use of community potential to educate, support and promote good mental health.
