Join Creativity Works to explore race, culture and inclusivity in the arts in these 3 workshops delivered by Vandna Mehta from the Diverse Artists Network.

Vandna will support a safe space to discuss, learn and share with a solution-focused approach. In addition to these workshop sessions you will be offered the opportunity to discuss the topics covered in optional peer-led sessions between workshops. The 3 sessions are outlined below:

Session One: Culture & Belonging [Tuesday 21st September, 10am-12pm]

  • What helps me feel like I belong?
  • We will be exploring Representation, the concept of Othering.
  • Race, culture and identity in the arts and beyond.

Session Two: Understanding Race & Intersectionality [Tuesday 5th October, 10am-12pm]

  • Unconscious Bias
  • Unpacking racialisation

Session Three: Exploring and Diversifying my networks [Tuesday 19th October, 10am-12pm]

  • What does Diversity & Inclusivity mean?
  • Looking at the concept of Allyship
  • Exploring positive solutions for engagement

Additional information

The sessions will be 2 Hours long including breaks

20 people maximum will attend the sessions.

These workshops are for socially engaged artists, creatives and creative producers wishing to explore race, culture and inclusivity in the arts.
