Dance Professionals Fund is offering professional dancers help with the effect of COVID-19 by offering Emergency Funding.


The Dancers’ Hardship Fund

Who can apply

Professional dancers. Support given to freelance dancers across genres including ballet, contemporary, Black and Asian dance and hip hop including those with portfolio careers, e.g. choreography, who whose work would normally include employment in the subsidised dance sector. This Fund is supported by Arts Council of England. Please ensure you read the guidelines before applying.

Also available is grants for Dance Teachers

These grants cover:

  • Childcare (dependent on circumstances)
  • Household items
  • Housing costs
  • Transport costs
  • Utility bills

Cost of Living grants are normally provided for an agreed timeframe, to enable the applicant to consider what other options might be available to enable them to support themselves in the longer term. Grants will normally be awarded due to extenuating circumstances, eg: sudden illness.
