Paul & Nick Harvey Fund Now Open for Applications

Music for Dementia is launching the Paul & Nick Harvey Fund, supporting organisations working musically with people living with dementia around the UK.

The Hunter Foundation recently gave Paul & Nick Harvey £1m to ‘help put a light into trying to release people from dementia’. Father and son immediately agreed that £500,000 of this would go to Music for Dementia, who have chosen to redirect this funding back to the sector, by supporting organisations working musically with people living with dementia around the UK.

The money which was generously donated by The Hunter Foundation and now hosted under the Paul and Nick Harvey Fund will help Music for Dementia to build on the successful work we are doing to support people living with dementia through music

Music for Dementia is delighted to tell you that the fund is now open. Eligible organisations delivering musical services to people living with dementia anywhere within the UK will be able to apply for a grant from Monday 11 January.

2020 was extremely tough for music providers and their audiences. People living with dementia suddenly had much-enjoyed services halted and providers were faced with their income drying up due to lack of access. Fortunately, online events have partially filled the void and it is Music for Dementia fervent hope that grants from this fund will help grassroots services.

They want to make a difference by distributing this fund as far and wide as possible.

Deadline for Expression of Interests – 5pm, 26th February 2021
