Co-hosted by Pandemic & Beyond, Culture Commons, and the National Centre for Creative Health

Join Lord Stephen Parkinson (Minister for the Arts), Sir Nicholas Serota (Chair of Arts Council England) and Lord Alan Howarth (Co-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Arts, Health and Wellbeing, and NCCH Chair of Trustees), for an event which will showcase key findings from arts and health research funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) during the Covid-19 pandemic, highlighting and reflecting on their implications for future policy and decision-making.

Presentations include:

  • Covid-19 CARE: Culture and the Arts, from Restriction to Enhancement: Protecting Mental Health in the Liverpool City Region, Prof Josie Billington (University of Liverpool)
  • ‘Culture Box’- Promoting social interaction and public health through the arts in the time of Covid-19, Prof Victoria Tischler (University of Exeter)
  • Combating social isolation through creative and community engagement; COVID and beyond – ‘Community COVID’, Prof Helen Chatterjee (University College London)
  • Discoveries in Distanced Arts: The work, wonder, and wear of remote creative programmes, Dr Janelle Jones, (Queen Mary University of London) & Maddie Mills (Entelechy Arts)
