Launch event for Mental Health Experience-Led Opportunities “Self-Care Toolkit”
MHELO (Mental Health Experience Led Opportunities) is an independent network for people in Gloucestershire to have a collective voice and a project within Inclusion Gloucestershire. It exists to ensure that the voice of our experts by experience is heard and welcomes people from all backgrounds and all walks of life, providing a safe, supportive, and user-led space. People’s experience and views are what empowers the VOICE of the present, and the future, of mental health in Gloucestershire and MHELO is a user-led network of individuals who want to speak about their experiences of mental ill health, and services, within Gloucestershire to bring about change.
As a network MHELO have come together to create a “self-care toolkit” which has been designed by people with experience of mental ill health to support and empower others to take charge of their mental health.
MHELO are hosting a launch event for the Network’s Self-Care Toolkit, and invite those interested to come along to find out more about the self-care toolkit and MHELO. The launch event is a chance for organisations to find out more and connect with MHELO network members, as well as a pick up free printed copies of the MHELO Network Self-Care Toolkit .
They welcome anyone who is interested in joining and look forward to meeting with people face-to-face particularly as there has been little opportunity to do so over the last year and a half!
