Join Sophie Hope, one of the country’s leading socially engaged artists and academics, in a special online event by Creativity Works.

Sophie will present some of her practice-based research into cultural democracy and the commissioning of socially engaged art. Participants will explore what role socially engaged artists play in this current crisis and what this means for the profession.

The two day online event will give you a chance to explore and take action on ideas that are discussed as a group. You will gain knowledge, awareness and inspiration from Sophie, and also from the other participants taking part in the sessions. These sessions will also give you the time and structure to reflect on your own practice and to make plans for the future.

Sophie has also written an informative blog post which maybe useful which you can read here: Socially engaged art in a time of ‘social’ distancing
