About the Event
An opportunity to Connect with others in Bristol to create a strong support, training and development network for the Dance, Health and Wellbeing Sector.
At the event you will:
• Find out about social prescribing
• Participate in practical Masterclasses
• Help shape the new Bristol Dance and Wellbeing Network
• Network with peers
• Discuss and debate relevant issues
• See a performance
Masterclasses include:
• Rachael James and The Original Spinners: Dance with Parkinson’s and Dance with Dementia
• Julia Thorneycroft: Working with active older adults
• Lucinda Jarrett of Rosetta Life in partnership with Bristol Black Carers: Exploring somatic dance practices of touch,contact improvisation and the rhythms and language of everyday movement
• Emily Jenkins from Move, Dance, Feel: Dance for women affected
by cancer
Performance: Nationally renowned Gerry’s Attic older adults performance company with commissioned work by choreographer Gary Clarke

Cost: £15 including lunch and a performance (Bursaries available)

Bursaries available: Theatre Bristol is offering 10 fully subsidised places to freelance dance artists and/or producers to attend this event. We want to ensure as many people as possible can be here and recognise the financial barrier of attending events like these.
