Summary

Misfits Theatre Company are a theatre and social group led by people with learning difficulties who aim to enable people with learning difficulties to be creative, have fun and reach their potential through participation, performance, volunteering and employment.

The company are recognised for their role as providers of unique training solutions. They use theatre to share health information with other people with learning difficulties and to deliver important information to health professionals about how people with learning difficulties experience healthcare. In 2011 they worked in partnership with NHS Bristol’s Public Health Specialists to train NHS Bristol staff and create a DVD resource.
