AHSW Action Learning Sets: Callout
A free opportunity for peer support and learning!
AHSW is looking for people to join its existing Bristol and Dorchester action learning groups, and is seeking to start two new groups: one in Exeter and another based on demand, to take place over 2019-2020.
Expressions of interest invited until 5pm on Monday 16th December 2019.
Action Learning is a very powerful peer learning method which brings together people to learn from one another’s issues and challenges. In this setup, a group of 6 to 8 individuals agrees to meet 6 times over a 12-month period for a full day each time. During this time they establish a peer group they can trust and develop greater insight into managing difficult people and situations. A more detailed description of the process can be found in this document: Action Learning Sets – Resource Pack
During 2018/19 AHSW facilitated two action learning sets, one in Bristol, one in Dorchester, both having a mixture of health workers and arts practitioners. The core of each group wants to continue to meet, but they need a few more members.
In 2019/20 AHSW is seeking to facilitate two more groups across the region – one probably in Exeter and one elsewhere, depending on interest and demand. New sets will be facilitated by Sue Isherwood, Chair of AHSW, and a trained action learning set facilitator.
If you are interested in participating in an action learning set and are prepared to make the time commitment then please send your name and contact details to Sue Isherwood at firstname.lastname@example.org
Deadline for expression of interest: 5pm, Monday 16th December 2019.
