Art Action - Living with PTSD - Falmouth
11th - 22nd September; 10am - 5pm
The Daniell Room at The Poly, Falmouth
Art Action is an exhibition of the work of artists who are living with the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Through exhibiting artwork by combat veterans who are experiencing PTSD, and also work by their wives and friends, the exhibition hopes to raise awareness of the condition and of the work of Surf Action in supporting them. All the work exhibited has been made at the Surf Action Studio at Heartlands, a space developed to host further art workshops and exhibitions in the future.
Art Action is organised by a collaboration between Surf Action and Arts for Health Cornwall and has been curated by Emma Harnett.
The exhibition runs from 11th September - 22nd September 10am - 5pm
Surf Action is a registered charity whose core purpose is to promote and protect the physical and mental well being of those who have been wounded whilst serving in the Armed Forces and Civilian Emergency Services. They provide emotional and practical support for combat veterans and their families.
