Head of Music Services, Nordoff Robbins Inner London

Salary: £31,638 - £38,043 pro-rata depending on experience (with additional London Weighting)

Nordoff Robbins is a well established national music charity providing and supporting a range of specialist music services, in health, social care, and education sectors. Our practitioners provide music therapy services and a small but growing number of music and health projects to people of all ages in a range of settings. Nordoff Robbins runs two masters level training programmes and a Phd programme (Validated by City university), and a burgeoning research department. www.nordoff-robbins.org.uk

We are seeking an experienced, energetic arts manager to be responsible for the development and delivery of high quality and innovative music therapy / music and health services in Inner London (London Postcodes) and manage a growing staff team (currently 20 people) of professional music therapists, music and health practitioners and admin staff.

This is an exciting time to join Nordoff Robbins as we are in the process of broadening and updating our music services, our training programmes and our research remit. This post offers an opportunity for the right person to make a significant contribution to the development of the charity’s music services within Inner London.

You will have considerable experience of arts management, a good track record of building partnerships, generating income by selling and delivering services and projects, and individual and team management.

You have an understanding of how a charity works, and of the wider professional sectors with which Nordoff Robbins interconnects - Health, Social Care, Education, and Community Arts. You also have some knowledge of the fields of music therapy and music and health in the UK.

You will be based at the Nordoff Robbins London Centre in Kentish town where a dynamic team of music therapists, trainers and researchers work together. Reporting to the Director of Music Services you will line-manage a small team of Lead practitioners and have responsibility for overseeing the management of all the practitioners delivering the Inner London music services.
This is a varied and challenging role and we are looking for an open and positive team leader with confidence, enthusiasm and drive. You must have the flexibility to travel throughout Inner London, sometimes work extra or unsociable hours and occasionally to represent us at evening events

DAYS: 4 days per week initially
SALARY: £31,638 - £38,043 pro-rata depending on experience (with additional London Weighting)
