Managing Workplace Stress and Conflict

This workshop is designed to support staff, who experience stressful emotional pressure and conflict in the workplace. Delegates will learn how to identify and deal with symptoms of stress, both within themselves and others in the workplace. We will explore the reasons why stress is such a widespread concern and why it undermines effective performance. Delegates will have the opportunity to practise dealing with conflict situations and learn techniques to help them feel more in control of their working environment and their relationships with colleagues. The workshop will cover:
What is stress
How to manage sources of stress
Identifying appropriate responses to stressful situations
Common problems and barriers to dealing with stress
What is conflict and why does it arise
How to deal effectively with conflict in the workplace
Rosie Masters has been working with a variety of organizations, principally in the public sector, for over 15 years. She is a long-term associate of the National School of Government, the leading learning and development partner of the UK Civil Service. She also belongs to the South West Training Services network. She specializes in training and consultancy in the fields of management and personal development; internal consultancy and project management training; and trainer training. Rosie is keen to provide managers with the knowledge and practical skills they require to manage with confidence and her courses encourage delegates to learn through practical exercises and participation.
