Thanks to the South West Foundation, GD is running a pilot 12-day course in central Gloucester to develop the skills of disabled and D/deaf adults aged 16+. The course is FREE to some disabled or D/deaf artists based in the South West.

The course is led by nationally renowned specialists including Marc Brew, Louise Katerega, StopGap Dance Company and Sarah Pickthall.

This pilot project is part of a key initiative over the next two years to address a national shortage of opportunities for disabled performers and choreographers.
Company INC: a creative dance course for talented disabled dancers from throughout Gloucestershire, held at Milestone School.
Velcro Dance Company: Velcro is an integrated dance company through which disabled and non-disabled performers and choreographers can develop. The Company devises its own work, performs accessible contemporary dance and undertakes commissions and education work. They are currently recruiting new members.
Inclusion Needs You - Training for Mainstream Dance Providers
GD is pleased to have partnered with Gloucestershire County Council to provide the dance element of this free training programme.
It is aimed at any out-of-school activity provider who wants to welcome disabled children and young people to access their mainstream activity.
The programme is split into four sessions between September and June:
session 1: introductory inclusion training
session 2: sector specific training (including dance)
session 3: workshop on overcoming barriers to communication and informal networking
session 4: workshop focusing on basic autism training and informal networking
